Polo Pony Retirement
&
Re-homing Program

Picture"Tita", Argentine polo pony mare donated by Jimmy & Julie DeAngelis.
There are four objectives to the  polo pony " F.A.R.M." Equine Training program:
  • RETIREMENT
  • RECOVERY
  • RE-PURPOSE
  • RE-HOMING
An aspect of our specific use of former polo horses is that they are “veterans” of their prior career in a game where partnership, courage, stamina and temperament are paramount.  These qualities lend a special synergy with those who suffer from PTSD and serve as the partner to a better quality of life for the human participants.
Additionally, the game of polo was utilized in WWI to keep the mounted military and their horses in stable mental and physical condition for the challenges of war.
We encourage collegiate polo teams, professionals and amateur players to consider donating their equine colleagues to our program.
Please contact us regarding further information.

We hope that you will donate to our foundation to achieve the goals we have established for Foxfield F.A.R.M.
Thank you.

Foxfield F.AR.M. is proud to have received a donation of an Argentine Thoroughbred mare named "Turca" from the Cornell University Polo program..  The Cornell University varsity polo coach, Brandon Van Loon, had also donated an Argentine mare, "Gloria" while he was Yale University's polo coach a few years ago.  He feels that Foxfield Farm in Granby, CT is an exceptional facility for semi-retired high goal playing ponies because of its equestrian experienced owners, Susan and Bill Regan and admires the purpose for which the charity utilizes equines to mitigate PTSD issues.
