The Founders
Susan Patricelli-Regan, Founder and President of Foxfield F.A.R.M. (For a Recovery Mission) along with her husband William Regan, Vice President, established this vital non-profit in April, 2016 with a focus on Veterans' mental issues attributed to experiences suffered during service in the US military. Toward that end, they personally invested $300,000 for an indoor ring and an adjacent stable that includes a lounge for the Veterans, additional stalls, tack room, office and feed/hay room on the property to serve this purpose. Going forward, a dog therapy program will be a supplementary option. The serious impact of PTSD on spouses and children can be injurious and devastating to all family members and thus, the critical need for this optional approach to these issues from the routine clinical and prescriptive treatments can have inherent risks for opioid addiction.
As a former 40 year career global consumer product company marketing and sales executive, Susan is now in the "business" of foundation work. As host of CT Valley Views, www.ctvalleyviews.com a public access interview program about a broad range of political, educational, business industry, health and current culture issues; she and her husband, Executive Producer and former design professional are dedicated to informing CT's citizens about topics vital to a better quality of life for all. Susan is a member of PATH International (Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship).
While raising three sons, Susan and William have accomplished 40+ years of equine experience playing polo, fox hunting, and showing, training all breeds and teaching many people of all ages to ride confidently. Susan and Bill have owned many types of dogs (Australian Shepherds, Foxhounds, Borzois, Scottish and Irish Wolfhounds, Jack Russell Terriers) and currently breed AKC Registered Yorkshire Terriers.
These committed avocations create the right complement to a responsible non-profit organization. Foxfield F.A.R.M. is a GuideStar Silver Participant and is recognized by Charity Navigator as a 501(c)(3) charity. Foxfield F.A.R.M. is also a recognized charity by AmazonSmile and Goodshop.
